Bolingbrook High School, in Bolingbrook, Illinois is looking for someone to fill a long-term maternity leave tentatively starting the end of October through the end of January. The leave will finish up first semester and start the second semester. The courses that will be taught are Culinary Arts 1 and 2 as well as Adult Living. Culinary 1 and 2 are full year courses and then Adult Living is a semester long course, but will be taught first and second semester.
York High School is in need of a S1 maternity leave sub. The tentative dates are October 18th - December 22nd. The position is listed on the Elmhurst District 205 opportunities page under "substitutes" and it is JobID 3589.
The courses for this position include Baking and Pastry Arts, Gourmet Foods and a co-taught applications of foods class. The advanced level courses will be making all kinds of amazing things such as Decorated Cakes, Ice Cream, Creme Brulee, Cream Puffs, Homemade Pasta, Gourmet Sandwiches, Salads, Appetizers and more! The applications of food class (which is co-taught with a special education teacher) has an amazing group of peer student leaders who help coach students with moderate to severe disabilities as they develop important kitchen skills. We have a great group of students at York and a supportive and enthusiastic FCS department! We would love to find someone who loves working with kids and loves to cook!
